After having only sailed once this year :( I not good at shortboard windsurfing in the cold !!! and have missed all the strong winds - I need to man up and get out!!! and after taking my kit to Alton Water yesterday only to find it closed due to strong winds !!! :( I was keen to make the most of todays wall to wall sunshine. With my Dad coming to Sunday lunch I was up early and was at Levington at 9ish.With not much wind I rigged big and took the longboard out for a cruise :) I first headed down the River Orwell to Harwich passing a big seal on the way, checking out lots of huge container ships at Felixstowe docks. Then after a short break I beat up to Pin Mill seeing many hundreds of birds feeding in the mud :) It was then home for a top lunch with Dad, loads of chat and then Mag and I still had time for a sunset walk along the prom - top weekend and there is more to windsurfing than flying along on a shortboard - I love my Cat :)
